Female Genital Mutilation

Female Genital Mutilation is an abusive cultural practice indigenous to a wide spectrum of traditional communities spanning both geographic and religious boundaries. We are committed to ending the practice in all its forms in the UK and across the world.#

Midaye offers compassionate, constructive and culturally-intelligent support for women and girls who have been victims of FGM or who may be affected by the practice in the future. We work to increase awareness about FGM, help others to understand and navigate the complex cultural fabric encompassing the practice, and promote constructive community dialogue around the issue to develop community-driven opposition to the practice.
