COMMUNITY SUPPORT & OUTREACH
Midaye works to support individuals and families through befriending and empowering them, providing them with information, and by advocating on their behalf.
Our support & outreach projects include:
Befriending Older People and Carer Support
A befriending and support project for elderly community members and the people that care for them. The project includes a men’s group.
The Better Futures project provides one-on-one support and training and development opportunities for local women looking to improve their confidence and abilities. We provide sewing classes, employment support, driving theory classes, IT support, and volunteer training.
An outreach service designed to provide intervention and support for community families who are battling to engage with their children’s schools.
A support programme for families with children to provide facilitated access to council and mainstream services, and to provide training, information and advice on health care, schooling and general well-being.
The Inspire Women's Project
A comprehensive programme for women living in Kensington & Chelsea designed to break patterns of isolation, poor emotional health and low self-confidence in local women. The programme includes one-on-one support, peer support and physical exercise programmes.
Women's Well-being Support Club
A comprehensive programme designed to break patterns of isolation, poor emotional health and low self-confidence in local women. The programme includes one-on-one support and peer support.
